MP visit for Bignold Primary

We were delighted to welcome Norwich South MP Clive Lewis to Bignold Primary School today (4th April), where he met with staff and children celebrating World Art Day.

World Art Day is a time where the pupils celebrate the beauty of art and creativity from all around the world. This year’s theme is "A Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art.”

Clive was accompanied by County Council candidate Lisa Alston on his visit, where they spoke to pupils and staff throughout the school, along with members of the Trust's Central Team.

Throughout the day, children explored their creativity through fun art activities, learnt about different forms of art and expressed themselves by creating their own masterpieces to celebrate the beauty of human imagination.

This celebration ties in with the school’s new ‘Bignold’s Big Adventures’ programme, launched this year in consultation with staff, parents and children. The programme complements the school’s curriculum by providing a range of experiences for pupils which encourage personal growth, creativity, teamwork and the development of important life skills - all while fostering a love for learning and creating lasting memories.
